Designing the very best pet experience in Atlanta requires the best experts
Our very first pet guests later this year are literally in for a treat. Informed by the ultimate goal of designing the best pet experience possible, we’re working with dozens of experts who expertly know pets.
An array of architectural and mechanical engineers, environmental experts and clinical experts in animal behavior are helping to guide every aspect of the 6,000 square feet that will soon be Lucky & Lady®. From enhanced air purification systems that remove pheromones from other animals to equipment and suites engineered specifically for pets, we are considering every possible trigger – those that calm and relax our pets and those that excite or scare them.

We’ve traveled to seven states to meet with the very best professionals, consulted with leading pet boarding and day care operators in the U.S., U.K. and Dubai, and our team has enlisted guidance from acoustical engineers – all to ensure a calm, comfortable experience for our four-legged family members.
“We’ve worked with a variety of clients, but few are as exacting and driven as the team at Lucky & Lady®,” said Naomi Clark, the principal designer at Planning Interiors, Inc. “Their true love for animals shows in every decision they make. We’re literally changing the way we approach most every aspect of this complex design.”
An external consultant was added to the team in December to integrate plans for enhanced MEP, or mechanical/engineering/plumbing. The plans include incorporation of the newest technology to clean and sanitize, thus reducing or eliminating airborne and surface contaminants, bacteria and viruses.
Pet parents know
“With three dogs of our own, we’re pulling every punch to make Lucky & Lady® better than our home,” said Ryan Deal, the principal founder of Lucky & Lady®.
“We know what stresses animals and we’re determined to eliminate those stressors,” Deal said. “We’re working hard to get the facility just right and it’s exciting to see it beginning to take shape. But caring for pets in a modern way requires more than just a nice facility.”

Design is just half of the plan
Lucky & Lady® will be a state-of-the-art, all-new-construction, built-for-pets facility but, as Deal says, human interaction will be the cornerstone.
“We don’t believe what so many others do – a tired dog is not a happy dog. A tired dog is a tired dog. A happy cat is not just a fat cat.”
So, with international expert guidance, we’re developing the very best enrichment program to ensure that pets leave Lucky & Lady® just the way they arrived, with the right amount of energy to love pet parents back. Our structured environment, complete with facilitated play, periods of rest and individual staff interaction mean, quite simply, your pet will love it here.
