Lucky & Lady® is an Atlanta start-up aimed at taking everything about pet boarding, day care and grooming, and turning all of it upside down. We understand pets to be members of the family. We believe that pets should be cared for in the very best environment. And we know that people bring out the very best in our pets through interaction, understanding, love and compassion.
Designed for the health, safety and wellbeing of pets, with all the convenience pet parents want, Lucky & Lady® is a multi-million dollar facility bringing the highest level of affection, safety and security for pets in an amazingly nurturing, human environment – just what pets are accustomed to and just what pets need to thrive.
About the position
As a Pet Boarding Attendant at Lucky & Lady®, you’ll ensure everything needed to power our Beyond Boarding program is prepared, clean and safe for our overnight guests. And you’ll get to know a lot of B*RKING COOL pets. Guided by safety and security, a Pet Boarding Attendant helps maintain our resort-like environment by ensuring our uncompromising standards are met. Responsibilities include preparing meals in our Pet Kitchen, guiding our four-legged guests to our indoor potty areas and, fulfilling special requests, which range from one-one-one snuggle time to story time – yep, you’ll be reading to pets! Pet Boarding Attendants will also use our proprietary system to send real-time text and photo message updates to clients.
While responsibilities vary slightly by shift, a Pet Boarding Attendant ensures all of our four-legged guests are fed, pampered, safe, calm and comfortable. Overnight attendants will oversee all operations; must adhere to our standards to maintain a calm, quiet experience; and will be required to take breaks within the facility to maintain our strict security protocols. All attendants must have a substantial command of dogs, sometimes in small groups, an understanding of our built-in barriers to animal stress, and a real interest in understanding the behavior of dogs.
Other responsibilities will include walking dogs, bathing dogs, doing laundry, cleaning and maintaining the facility, and assisting others when necessary. Cleaning pet suites is a routine task associated with this position – we do not use a water-driven pressure washer. Lucky & Lady® is equipped with a facility-wide, built-in, high-efficiency cleaning system.
Previous experience is preferred, but applicants must understand that Lucky & Lady® does not operate similarly. We expect complete, uncompromising attention will be given to our four-legged guests without exception. Personal mobile phones are not permitted while performing duties. As with all of our team members, remarkable trust and reliability are required. Expect that the pets in your care will come to know, understand and love you, and will “follow your lead.”
Dependable attendance and reliable transportation are required. The role of Pet Boarding Attendant is vital to our operation and preference will be given to candidates who possess a demonstrable understanding of pet behavior or who are pet trainers. All team members must be certified in canine and feline CPR and first aid and we will provide this training.

Impactful work that loves you back
To make it work at Lucky & Lady®, we need the very best, most understanding and most tolerant team members. We don’t like images of pet care workers wearing galoshes up to their knees and with a mop over their shoulder. A position at Lucky & Lady® is different. It’s about pet enrichment, pet socialization and enhanced customer service for pet parents. If your idea of interacting with pets or pet parents involves remaining seated in a chair, any open position at Lucky & Lady® is not for you.
We’re looking for the very best team members. Rather than mere employment, we at Lucky & Lady® know our work is really a calling. Here, you’ll provide love for pets in our Enhanced Day Care program, in Beyond Boarding, in our Grooming Spa, in our Self Wash, or in our lobby. Lucky and Lady® offers shifts throughout the early morning, day, evening and overnight hours – all the times our community’s pets need love and affection.
